Gresham Paraplanner Samantha Brannigan has attained a career goal by achieving Chartered Financial Planner status. Samantha, known to the team as Sam, celebrated her qualification at a graduation ceremony at the CII’s central London office on Friday 20 April 2018.
Achieving the qualification has involved Sam undertaking several years of studying and exams. Starting back in 2012, Sam firstly had to study and work towards passing the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Following this, she studied for a further 3 years, attaining the Advance Diploma in Financial Planning in 2017. From here, Sam was able to apply for Chartered status.
Morven Millar, Director at Gresham, said:
“Such a high level of qualification is rarely found amongst Paraplanners and the determination and commitment Sam has shown in working towards Chartered status is admirable. Having joined Gresham in 2010, Sam is one of the firm’s longest serving members of staff. She’s also one of the most valued members of the team and we’re really proud of her achievement.”
Sam commented:
“Studying for and taking exams whilst also working full time was very difficult and stressful at times but the sense of achievement of having finally reached my goal has made it all worthwhile.
“Working towards this qualification has not only boosted my knowledge, it’s also given me a greater understanding of the role of a Financial Adviser, which I will be able to take forward when completing work for clients.”
Chartered status in the financial services industry stands proud as an indicator of the highest standards of learning and ethical behaviour.
Gresham Wealth Management is committed to providing an excellent service to clients and part of this is the continual professional development of its staff. As such, Gresham employees wishing to work towards further qualifications are given training and study support.
