A series of seminars held by Gresham has reached a new milestone, with 100 attendees having been through the doors. The ‘Professional Masterclass’ events, held at our offices in the centre of Hale, are aimed at solicitors and accountants in the local area who can gain CPD points from attending.
Covering a wide range of topics relevant to professionals and their clients, previous events have focused on pension freedoms, business property relief and the economic impact of the fall in oil prices. Attendees are also treated to a catered breakfast or lunch at either of the two sessions held during the day whilst having the opportunity to network both before and after the presentation.
The most recent masterclass, held in May, was a Brexit special and featured a presentation from economist Alastair Irvine of Jupiter Asset Management. Comments following the event included: “great presentation, very relevant”, “very engaging and informative”, “extremely strong presenter, remarkably insightful and well delivered” and “excellent, just perfect”.
With each session seeing an external speaker brought in, the Masterclasses are an excellent opportunity to gain insight directly from experts in their field.
Morven Millar, Director at Gresham Wealth Management, said about the events:
“The world of financial advice is often deemed complex and inaccessible. Through hosting these events we are able to demystify some of these topics whilst also getting to know fellow Hale and Altrincham professionals better.
“The feedback we have had from the professional community has been extremely positive and we’re delighted to have reached the milestone of 100 attendees. It is a great pleasure to be able to provide a platform to assist fellow professionals with their ongoing professional development.”
